As far as the eyes for NONO.. I actually built him before I had a working knowledge of LED.
NONO’s eyes are actually 2 Christmas lights wired to a Nokia cellular phone wall wart.
If I were to do one now, I’d recommend 1 of two methods.
Either try your luck with Xmas lights (mini lights) and a LOW VOLTAGE wall adapter..
OR purchase 2 12v pre-wired LED’s (5mm or larger, but 5mm is the standard).
2 12v pre-wired LED’s are operable from 1 9v battery for 12 hours or more. or you could run them from a 12v adapter indefinitely.
Their life is 40000+ hours. I just cut 2 x shapes into the jug, and shoved the bulbs right in. Eventually, I plan to convert No NO over to LED as I have a surplus of pre-wired 12v stuff now.
If you need help finding a good supplier, check c-leds.com you can buy a 20 pack of pre-wired red bulbs for 14.97. (believe me, you’ll find a use for the 18 others.. they’re super versatile and super bright)
Hope this helps, and sorry for the delay in responding!
